Warmest wishes to the Gardiner family at this time of loss. It’s been many years since we’ve been in touch but I have deep memories of Martha (Mrs Gardiner to me) from my earliest years. Jim and I became friends in Nursery School and the Gardiner home was the first friend’s house I ever visited. I still remember the warm loving atmosphere of that home and the true welcome I was given by Mrs Gardiner - a welcome that was repeated every time I showed up. She was a true gem and I remember her fondly. Best regards Chris Barlow

Martha (aka; GiGi, Gert, Gerty, Dirty Gerty) was a magical woman. I am so grateful for her guidance and love over the many decades we have known each other.
I will always cherish the memories of hanging out in the 'way to small' kitchen with her, drinking coffee and talking about EVERYTHING.
She was truly my second Mom. I have missed her greatly over the past years as she was gone around the same time my mother passed.
Martha's kick-ass spirit has been something I have tried to emulate over the years. I believe this will continue to be her legacy with me and many others. I don't think Martha is 'resting in peace' but instead whooping it up with the friends she has gone to meet!
I will always love and miss you Martha xo

Hoping Martha’s passing was time for her to “go” will make things easier for a big loving family.”Gert” made many people feel like “extended family” and will be missed and cherished by anyone who had the fortune of knowing her.We were always treated as family by Martha and her perfect mate John(met his match early in life)as my mother in law and Martha were kindred spirits with a Sister relationship since high school that was as close as any.As godmother to my wife Kathy “Smith” our family spent many many “family occasions”with Gert and the Gardiners either at MacDonald Dr. Or at the Smiths because at the end of the day when all was said and done “Martha and Aggie” were inseparable.on behalf of my kids and I Accept our sincere condolences and thanks from our family for the loving times that we shared

So saddened by the loss of such an amazing, strong woman. She made everyone feel welcome into her home and treated all us “kids” like family. She had a beautiful heart and I was fortunate enough to know her. My love are prayers are with Mr. Gardiner, Kate(my dear friend) Matt, Mike, Jimmy and all her beautiful grandchildren. Xx Roseanne
