Obituary of Rose Mary Letwin

It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Mary Letwin announce her passing. She passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at the age of 78. She is finally reunited with her late husband Andrew Paul (1977). Proud mother of Travis (Pam) Letwin, Ann (Jim) Milligan, Sharon Riddell, and Andrew (Virginia) Letwin. Devoted grandmother to Kristine, Sarah, Stuart, Andrew, Shelby and Jonathon (Alejandra). Cherished sister of Howard Moran. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Evelyn Moran and her sister Margaret Smith. Fondly remembered by her many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends. Rose Mary was a faithful member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and St. Michael's Catholic Women's League. She was also a lifetime member of the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, volunteering for many years in the Tuck Shoppe. Rose Mary was an avid baker, gardener and knitter. A true northern girl at heart, she enjoyed spending her evenings watching hockey, especially if the Canadiens were playing! Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie. The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 1, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 2, at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
