Obituary of Allen Chris MacDonald

MacDonald Allen Christopher Gainsay who dare, the MacDonald courage is born and can't be broken! Chris passed away at the Welland County Hospital on Monday January 18th, 2016 at the age of 74 after a hard fought battle. He was the husband of June. Loving father of Christina MacDonald and Sheila (Jeffrey) Wartinger. Forever in the hearts of his granddaughter Judith (Cory) Leeson and his grandson Mac. Cherished great grandfather of Cora and Willow. Sadly missed by his siblings Donald (Sharon), Quinn, Gwen (Reg) Lake and Angus (Dawn). He will also be missed dearly by his Fort Erie Brothers & Sisters Jim (Linda), Randy MacDonald, Joan MacDonald, Eleanor (Danny) Munroe and Heather (Donny) Millar and families, as well as all his friends. Predeceased by his parents Finnan and Peggy MacDonald of Cornwall, Ont. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday January 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow. A reception will take place at Royal Canadian Legion Br. #71 Chris will be fondly remembered by his many friends at the Fort Erie Racetrack and the family would invite those who wish to donate to the Horseman's Benevolent Fund or the Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue
