Obituary of Marion Pring

Pring : Marion March 17, 1928 - April 21, 2014 Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Douglas Memorial Hospital after a long and courageous battle. Beloved wife of the late Norman Pring (2011). Dearly loved mother of Rebecca (Scott), Jane (Brian) and the late Jeffrey (1980). Cherished grandmother of Katie (Scott), Matthew (Susan), Stephen and Brittany. Adored great grandmother of Brielle and Raya and step great grandmother to Sarah and Michael. Also survived by her extended family Valerie and Connie. Predeceased by parents Alvin and Olive and Step mother Dot Woehl as well as brothers Glenn (Jacqueline) Woehl, Lloyd (Madge) Woehl, Kenneth Woehl and Raymond (Virgina) Spear. Marion was a graduate of Hamilton General Hospital Registered Nursing Program of 1949. She enjoyed her career as a Registered Nurse at the Douglas Memorial Hospital, the Fort Erie Racetrack and Horton Chicago Bridge and Iron. Marion volunteered at the Douglas Memorial Hospital after her retirement for several years. At Marion's request, Benner Funeral Services Fort Erie entrusted with Private Family arrangements. If so desired, memorial donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church Fort Erie or the Palliative Care Unit at Douglas Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family The family would like to thank Dr. Kim Scher and the entire nursing staff at the Douglas Memorial Hospital for their dedicated care.
