I'm very saddened that I cannot be present at Grandma Laura's service today in Madoc. I'll always remember Grandma's mandaotry hugs and kisses complete with lipstick stains. We had so much fun during sleepovers at her apartment on Scott Street in St. Catharines. I miss her already.

We were saddened to hear of Aunt Laura's passing. I (Nicki) shared a special bond with Laura because of our Saskatchewan prairie roots and we had many great conversations about the west. When she lived in Belleville and I worked in Belleville, she was always happy and welcoming whenever I had to be storm stayed overnight at her place. Also she usually got me to pick her up every two weeks to take her shopping and we had a great time. She was a special lady, always hospitable and down to earth and her apple pies really were the BEST EVER! XOXO

One of my favorite memories of Grandma Laura was playing Yahtzee on summer vacation in Nothern Ontario - she could shake those dice and belt out that catchphrase like no other! She was always a person I really admired, and I'd like to think that to this day, I'm a better person for having such a respected, strong grandparent to look up to. Her spirit lives on in the good people she has helped raise into this world. Rest in peace Grandma Laura, Love Matt
