Obituary of Marjorie Edith Thombs

Thombs : Marjorie Edith (nee Simpson) Marjorie passed away surrounded by the love and presence of her family on Tuesday March the 8th, 2016 at the Douglas Memorial Hospital. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother of Robert & Christene Thombs of Ottawa, Gloria and the late Michael Danysiuk of Crystal Beach and Pam Yasko of Fort Erie. Sadly missed by grandchildren, Christopher & Ryna Thombs, Stacey & Shane Williamson, Michael & Richard Szumils, Miranda & Chris Heaton, Taryn & Jay Scholtens and Martine & Ryan Lidbetter and great grandchildren Brittany, Richard, Harrison, Baron, Harper, Axel, Arlie, Gunnar and Briar. She is also survived by her extended family and friends. Marjorie was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Snyder and the CWL. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends at the Douglas Height's Senior Centre. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 9th from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic on Thursday at 1 pm. Interment to follow in the Churchyard. If so desired, donations to the ONE Foundation to benefit the Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
