I only learned of Bill's passing in the last year. He was my principal in high school in the 60's and he and his family were also our neighbours on Emerick Ave. Since my parents moved to the KW area in 2007 I used to drive them down to Fort Erie to visit old friends every year and Bill was always one of our visits. Many happy memories. It has been a few years since Bill passed away but want to extend our condolensces to Janet and Barbara and your families. He was a good man and will be missed

Bill was a beloved teacher at Fort Erie High School, when I attended, l954 - 58.
I so enjoyed him then, and looked forward to talking with him at our reunions.
He had worked with my dad, Vern Minor, at Hagey's Engineering and Surveying, a couple of summers when he was in college. Dad was very fond of Bill as well.
I will always hold fond memories of 'Mr. Smith'.

My sincere condolences to the Smith family on the death of their father. I had Mr. Smith as my teacher, the first year he taught school at SS#2 Bowen Road. In more recent months, we used to see & visit with him every Sunday at Mike's restaurant & would recall the good old days at Bowen Road. My sympathy also to Mrs. Marchuck (also my former teacher) on the loss of a dear friend.

I always remember that he, with his wife Doris, always greeted former puils and others living in their home area of Dufferin/Robinson/Phipps and Central Avenue. He was a gentleman always.
